Fall Newsletter

Dear Friends,                                                                                    10/3/2014
The seasons turn is a always a nice to time give an update on changes in my practice that you might be interested in. So here goes!
The fall is a great time for people to come in and get an “immune boost”, a “constitutional balancing session” a “seasonal tune-up” take your pick of titles, it’s all good! This is the time of year (or even a bit earlier) that I start to think about working towards keeping you healthy through the winter months. So I have been reflecting on what has worked for folks in the past and what new insights I have learned in recent months.  Along with these reflections I am making changes that I would love to share with you.
  1. Currently I am in the midst of a course with Sharon Weizenbaum “Treating Knotty and difficult to treat diseases with Classical Chinese Formulas” I am about halfway through the course and thus far we have covered 4 Classical formulas and case studies of their use. The most exciting to me have been cases involving Lyme disease, joint and RA, the connection between the heart, blood and small intestines and of course pregnancy and gynecological health issues.
  1. I have started my own herbal pharmacy which allows me to custom blend your herbal formulas on sight using the highest quality herbal granules. This also allows great flexibility in terms of frequency of prescription, and changes as your body changes, getting you your herbs fast when needed! For example if you feel a scratchy throat, stuffy nose, or achy body, you can come in and get herbs right away to nip this in the bud. On the other hand if things have progressed and you have a lingering cough, cold, fatigue etc you can also get your herbs quickly and we can monitor them and change according to your pattern.
  2. I am working on building a more professional on line presence which would include a new website describing my practice, acupuncture, herbal medicine and my own particular style. I am currently seeking a website designer who could help enhance the design, accessibility, and informational aspects of the site. If you know of any great leads I would appreciate it.
  3. Finally if any of you have felt helped by my work and feel comfortable expressing that in writing, I would be grateful for permission to use it anonymously of course on my new site! And or face book page.
It has been such a great pleasure and so rewarding to have worked with each of you over the years.
Best wishes to you for this Autumn season of change, harvest, and turning within.
